#2 Luka Doncic – Dallas Mavericks
2020-21 Stats: 27.7 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 8.6 APG, 1.0 STL, 47.9 FG%, 35.0 3P%
Some may call Luka Doncic a shooting guard or small forward, but since he is the Dallas Mavericks’ primary ball-handler, he is more of a point guard than anything else.
Doncic does everything for the Mavericks and even finished the 2020-21 season with 11 triple-doubles during the regular season, ranking him fourth in the league behind Russell Westbrook (38), Nikola Jokic (16), and James Harden (12).
While they may not have been triple-doubles, the 22-year-old star put up a total of eight games with at least 30 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds, which was the most in the NBA.
Doncic also wrote his name next to Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, and Russell Westbrook as the only four players in NBA history to have at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 20 assists in a game when he scored 31 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and dished out 20 assists against the Washington Wizards on May 1.

Now one of the faces of the NBA after just three full seasons, Luka Doncic is the early favorite to win the league-MVP award during the 2021-22 season and has a chance to be the best all-around player in the league.
There really are no flaws to Doncic’s game at this point and with more talent around him in Dallas, he could easily take this team back to the NBA Finals in the near future.
Having Hall-of-Famer Jason Kidd as his head coach is only going to make Luka Doncic a much more polished all-around talent and at just 22-years-old, the sky’s the limit for the young Slovenian.
