The Golden State Warriors came into the offseason with a lot of eyes on them, and people wanted to see what big move they would pull off to keep their NBA championship window open with their aging core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
Golden State had the assets to make a blockbuster deal. They had two lottery picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, No. 7 and 14 overall. James Wiseman, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, is one of the better trade chips in the league.

Ultimately, the Warriors didn’t land any of those players. There is a chance they could be in the running for Simmons still, but most reports point to the Minnesota Timberwolves or Cleveland Cavaliers as the potential landing spots.
So, Golden State will hope that some of their younger players are ready to ascend and help the team get back to contending. If they do not look ready, the Warriors could try their hand at acquiring someone such as Jerami Grant.
