The 2021-22 NBA season is going to be a rebuilding year for the Houston Rockets, as they are preparing to begin their first season since the 2011-12 season without James Harden being on their Opening Night roster.
While they had a couple of chances to make the NBA Finals with Harden, Houston now has their attention on the plethora of young talents on their roster, highlighted by No. 2 pick in this year’s draft, Jalen Green.
The young shooting guard, who played in the G-League last year instead of going the traditional collegiate playing route to the NBA, has a chance to not only win Rookie of the Year this season, but be the new face of the franchise in Houston alongside other high-level, young talents in Christian Wood, Kevin Porter Jr. and Jae’Sean Tate, who was named to the All-Rookie First Team last season.
This year’s Rockets team definitely has a chance to surprise many with their athleticism and skill for being one of the youngest teams in the league, but they are not done making moves to fix their roster just yet.
