The 2021-22 NBA season is going to be a rebuilding year for the Houston Rockets, as they are preparing to begin their first season since the 2011-12 season without James Harden being on their Opening Night roster.

While they had a couple of chances to make the NBA Finals with Harden, Houston now has their attention on the plethora of young talents on their roster, highlighted by No. 2 pick in this year’s draft, Jalen Green.

The young shooting guard, who played in the G-League last year instead of going the traditional collegiate playing route to the NBA, has a chance to not only win Rookie of the Year this season, but be the new face of the franchise in Houston alongside other high-level, young talents in Christian Wood, Kevin Porter Jr. and Jae’Sean Tate, who was named to the All-Rookie First Team last season.

This year’s Rockets team definitely has a chance to surprise many with their athleticism and skill for being one of the youngest teams in the league, but they are not done making moves to fix their roster just yet.

John Wall, Eric Gordon and D.J. Augustin are three veteran players on Houston’s roster that they will look to trade at some point, which is why the Rockets are still in the market to make some trades.

Adding young talents and draft picks is the main goal of the Rockets right now, but they could also be interested in upgrading their frontcourt depth with a former No. 2 overall pick like Marvin Bagley III.

Sacramento’s big man seems to be unhappy with his current situation and who can blame him, as the Kings will likely be missing the playoffs for a 16th consecutive time this upcoming year!

LATEST NBA NEWS: Latest Intel Surrounding Ben Simmons Amid NBA Trade Rumors

The Kings have been active in trade talks this offseason, as they looked to move Buddy Hield to the Lakers at one point and have had interest in both Pascal Siakam (Raptors) and Ben Simmons (76ers), but they have been unable to make a big move. Trading Bagley as he enters the final year of his rookie deal may make sense for the Kings, especially if they can get a solid return for him.

While Houston may not be willing to offer up many key assets for Bagley, let’s take a look at a trade proposal put together by Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley and see if the Houston Rockets could pull off a trade for the 6’1l” power-forward.
