Next NBA Players In Line For Contract Extension After Aaron Gordon

NBA Analysis Network

In this NBA offseason, stars like Trae Young, Luka Doncic, Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry, and Julius Randle all signed long-term contract extensions to remain with their current teams, but there are still a lot of other players still eligible to sign an extension.

Recently, Aaron Gordon and the Denver Nuggets agreed to a four-year, $92M deal to remain in Denver through the 2025-26 season, should Gordon opt into his player option for the final year of this new contract.

The Nuggets traded for Gordon last season at the NBA trade deadline during the Orlando Magic’s “garage sale” in which Orlando got rid of their three best players in Aaron Gordon, Nikola Vucevic, and Evan Fournier.

In 25 regular-season games with Denver last season, Aaron Gordon averaged just 10.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and shot just 26.6% from three-point range, but they believe that with a full offseason to learn their system and prepare, that Gordon can be a key piece of their championship-puzzle, especially when Jamal Murray returns to the court after tearing his left ACL near the end of last season.
