3 Trade Packages Involving Cam Reddish For Atlanta Hawks To Consider

The Atlanta Hawks made the postseason for the first time since 2017 this past NBA season, and with a very young group led by Trae Young, they did not have big expectations on them that they could make it far.

The Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Milwaukee Bucks were claimed to be the three best teams in the Eastern Conference, but this did not stop Atlanta from proving that they are also a legit team to look out for.

After taking down the New York Knicks pretty convincingly in five games, the Hawks faced a tough challenge against the Philadelphia 76ers, but they defeated the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference in seven games, winning three of their four games on the road!

Atlanta ultimately fell in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Milwaukee Bucks, but this Hawks team is a force to be reckoned with in this league, and they are going to be around for a long, long time to come.

Trae Young is about to be 23-years-old, John Collins is about to be 24-years-old, and they have a ton of other players in their 20’s on this roster, which is why Atlanta is going to continue to be a team to look out for in the east.

In order to prove last year was not a fluke, though, the Hawks have tried to find ways to upgrade their overall talent in the offseason by adding veteran guard Delon Wright, veteran center Gorgui Dieng and drafting versatile forward Jalen Johnson in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft.

If this team can stay healthy, they will once again contend for a Top-4 seed in the Eastern Conference, but they may not be done making moves just yet.

Cam Reddish was drafted 10th overall in 2019 by the Hawks and has been a solid rotational player for them on the wing, but Atlanta does not necessarily need him.

Kevin Huerter, De’Andre Hunter, and Danilo Gallinari all sit above Reddish on the team’s depth chart. With the recent addition of Jalen Johnson, the Hawks can probably get away with trading Cam Reddish for more value.

The Hawks did look to trade the young wing near the NBA Draft this offseason, but they were unable to find any trades they truly liked.

With the 2021-22 season just about a month away, they may once again fail to find a trade they like for Cam Reddish, but let’s take a look at three trade packages that Atlanta should consider and could receive for the former Top-10 pick.
