Portland Trail Blazers Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, G Shake Milton, PHI 2023 2nd Round Pick
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G CJ McCollum, G Anfernee Simons, POR 2022 1st Round Pick (Unprotected), POR 2023 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable to PHI)

The Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia 76ers could easily get a deal done of just Ben Simmons and CJ McCollum since their contracts align perfectly. Still, we will shake things up a little bit here with the additions of Shake Milton and Anfernee Simons.

Shake Milton will be entering his fourth season in the NBA, and so far, he has consistently improved on the offensive end of the floor each year. Last season in 63 total regular-season games, Milton averaged 13.0 points, 3.1 assists, and shot 35% from three-point range, making him a very solid backcourt option for a team to have on their bench.

Both he and Ben Simmons could provide the Trail Blazers with solid backcourt production, as well as Simmons giving Portland the lift they need on the defensive end of the court.

The Trail Blazers ranked 29th in defensive rating last season and are going to need to get better on defense if they will have any shot at advancing in the playoffs, which is why making a move to add Simmons could be highly beneficial for Damian Lillard and Co.

On the other side of things, not only would the Philadelphia 76ers be receiving CJ McCollum in this deal, but they would also be getting Anfernee Simons, a score-first guard who would give them a little bit better depth in their backcourt than Shake Milton does.

Through his first three seasons in the NBA, Simons has averaged 7.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, and has shot 38.2% from three-point range, giving the 76ers a 22-year-old combo-guard with a lot of potential to turn into a big-time perimeter shooting threat.

Anfernee Simons also won last year’s dunk competition, proving that he is more than just a perimeter threat.

If Portland is interested, a deal to be had here involves Ben Simmons and CJ McCollum. Philadelphia is still taking calls on Simmons and looking to move him in the best deal possible, which is why the Trail Blazers could actually end up with the 3x All-Star before the start of the 2021-22 season.
