Toronto Raptors Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, C James Wiseman, GSW 2022 1st Round Pick (Unprotected), GSW 2023 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable to TOR)
Golden State Warriors Receive: F Pascal Siakam, F/C Chris Boucher

The Golden State Warriors were a team rumored to be interested in Pascal Siakam earlier this offseason, but no formal trade ever really developed. With Golden State holding the rights to two lottery picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, there was a lot of talk that they could possibly look to pull off a huge move, but the Warriors instead kept both draft picks and added both Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody to their young core.

Both young rookies could still be on the move in a trade midseason, but in this deal, the Golden State Warriors would be sending out Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman and some draft picks to the Raptors in exchange for Siakam and Boucher. This may be too much value for the Raptors to give up, but at the same time, they would be getting two relatively young players with a lot of potential for growth.

Andrew Wiggins is 26-years-old and has begun to come into his own as a two-way threat in this league on the wing. He averaged 18.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and shot 38% from three-point range last season, making him a wing that can do a little bit of everything to help his team win games.

The former No. 1 overall pick still has work to do in order to reach the pinnacle of his potential, but Wiggins would give the Raptors a very solid player to build with on the wing next to OG Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr.

James Wiseman is another young player that gives the Raptors value, especially since their center position is weak. Khem Birch recently just signed a new three-year, $20M deal with Toronto, but they really do not have a long-term plan in place for their frontcourt. Precious Achiuwa and Chris Boucher are two frontcourt bench options they have, but Toronto needs a young center that they can build.

While he is only 20-years-old and has a lot of growing to do in the league, Wiseman checks off all the boxes for being a “Chris Bosh-hybrid” type of player long-term. He has the potential to shoot, score in the low-post, rebound on both ends of the floor and potentially be a menace in terms of shot-blocking, which is why the Raptors should want him in a deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Again, maybe the Raptors would need more value in a deal to send Siakam to the Golden State Warriors, but they definitely has the future assets Toronto should want if they are looking to take a small step back in order to go heavy on building long-term success.
