How This Trade Impacts Golden State Warriors
Should this trade be presented to the Golden State Warriors, they would rush to get this passed through by the league offices. They have been on the lookout for an impact player this offseason and this trade would accomplish that.
Jrue Holiday has proven that he can be the third option on a successful team. He would slide right into the starting lineup alongside Stephen Curry in the backcourt, giving the Warriors essentially everything they are looking for.
Holiday is as good as they come defensively as arguably the best player on that end of the court at his position. He can defend both backcourt spots, most wings, and some power forwards as well. Holiday is as tough as nails and is suffocating on defense.
On offense, he would take a lot of pressure off of Curry and allow him to play off the ball even more. The former UCLA product is a solid 3-point shooter himself and has no qualms about being the likely third option on that end of the court.

Bobby Portis would give Golden State another strong option in the frontcourt. If James Wiseman proved he is not ready to contribute to a championship-caliber team, Portis can step in and provide excellent production playing either frontcourt spot. His 3-point shooting and rim protection would both help.
Rodney Hood provides Golden State with another veteran wing, something that is a sneaky need for the team. He has battled some injuries in recent years but is a proven 3-point shooter, knocking down 36.7 percent of his career attempts and providing solid defense as well.
