Would this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
The Indiana Pacers have been featured in some blockbuster NBA trades in recent years. This most recently happened since they sent Victor Oladipo to the Houston Rockets early in the season.
It was a down year for Indiana and this can cause a front office to go into a bit of a transition. That is what is happening with the franchise, and this deal could give them a new star.
The Pacers will rely on Domantas Sabonis and Caris LeVert next season. It is unlikely that either of them will be moved because of the balance on the floor and their production. Brogdon is at the top of the list because of his contract and worth. He is a two-way star that can produce in many ways.
Simmons could pose some intriguing possibilities for the Pacers as they decide whether to break up their frontcourt duo of Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner. Could Indiana look to use Simmons as a point-forward after trading one of their bigs? It could be a helpful option.
The Eastern Conference continues to be a top-heavy conference and Indiana is not near that top. This trade could give them some more star power in hopes of competing.
