The Los Angeles Lakers have had a very eventful NBA offseason. Training camp is going to be especially important for them as there will be 10 new faces on the roster that weren’t on the team last season.
There isn’t a team in the NBA that saw as much turnover on the roster as the Lakers did. LeBron James is the longest-tenured Laker, entering his fourth season with the franchise. Anthony Davis and Talen Horton-Tucker are the only holdovers from last season’s team.
Los Angeles has this level of turnover on the roster because three rotation players, Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell, were traded to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Russell Westbrook. In free agency, Horton-Tucker is the only player that was re-signed by the team.
Armed with nothing more than one exception and veteran’s minimum deals, Rob Pelinka got to work. Kendrick Nunn was signed to a two-year, $10.3 million deal.

Kent Bazemore, Wayne Ellington, Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, Carmelo Anthony, and Malik Monk signed minimum deals. Rajon Rondo and DeAndre Jordan secured buyouts from the Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets and signed with the Lakers.
More moves will happen eventually. Los Angeles is keeping one roster spot open in preparation for it, and they could still deal away Gasol. There aren’t many assets left to trade, but the Los Angeles Lakers could still make a move for this one player.
Let’s take a look at the one player Los Angeles should keep an eye on ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
