Los Angeles Lakers: James Ennis III

The Los Angeles Lakers have been extremely busy assembling one of the most experienced and oldest teams in NBA history this offseason.

The Lakers added veterans like Carmelo Anthony, Trevor Ariza, Kent Bazemore, Rajon Rondo, Dwight Howard, and DeAndre Jordan. They currently sit at 14 roster spots filled now, but Marc Gasol may not be with this team much longer.

With Anthony Davis expected to see a lot of time at center this year and now with both Howard and Jordan, the Lakers could look to cut or move Marc Gasol before the start of the season, giving them another roster spot to add a key bench talent with potentially.

They addressed their backcourt this offseason, plus their frontcourt, but the Lakers could still use another wing to have depth behind LeBron James. James Ennis III is a player that has been connected to the Lakers in free agency for quite some time now, but they have yet to reach a deal.

Last season with the Magic, Ennis averaged 8.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and shot 43.3% from the three-point range. He is the epitome of a “3-and-D” wing in this league, and given that he has 7-years of NBA experience under his belt, James Ennis is the perfect player for the Lakers to add to finish off their roster.
