Now, we are in the lull of time until training camp begins. Teams are putting the final touches on and filling out their roster for camp. Teams can have up to 20 players at training camp, but that number drops to 15, with two two-way players allowed, come the regular season.
While most of the major changes have come already, there is still the possibility of moving ahead of training camp.
We are all patiently waiting for the trade news of Ben Simmons, who looks likely to be dealt with by the Philadelphia 76ers. Wherever he lands will change the landscape of the NBA and adjust the expectations of teams.
Every year there are differing expectations around the league. Some teams are looking to crash the playoff party and become contenders. Others are looking for improvements as they climb out of a rebuild. Individual players will be under pressure as well.
Whether it is a player looking to live up to a big contract that they signed or someone on a rookie contract looking to perform up to the expectations of their draft slot, numerous players will be looking to make an impact this season.
Which players are under the most pressure? Here are five NBA players facing make-or-break seasons for the 2021-22 campaign.
