Does this trade make sense for Washington Wizards?
If the Orlando Magic wanted to add another center to their roster, then this trade would make sense for them since they would get Mo Bamba and Michael Carter-Williams, two guys on expiring deals with no long-term liability tied to them.
Moving Davis Bertans would also be a smart idea so they can free up cap space not only to re-sign Bradley Beal to his super-max extension next offseason but continue to put talent around him.
However, if Washington is okay with their three centers in Gafford, Bryant, and Harrell, there is no reason to pursue this trade. When you look at the Wizards as a whole right now, they definitely look like a better team than they were last season, and they were the 8-seed in the Eastern Conference last year.
Now, things have changed in the Eastern Conference, and plenty of teams have improved, so the Wizards could wind up being a similar team record-wise this upcoming year, but overall, there is no need for them to shake up their roster right now.

Bertans, Neto, Beal, Kuzma, Caldwell-Pope, and Kispert are all high-level shooters from the perimeter, so moving Davis Bertans may not be the best idea as of right now for Washington.
By midseason, if things are not going well and they want to move Bertans, then this could be a good deal for them to add depth and save cap space, but overall, the Wizards would probably be smart to see how the first few months of the 2021-22 season go before dumping any of their current talent.
