The “Ben Simmons Sweepstakes” continues to circulate around the NBA world and we still do not have any indications on what the Philadelphia 76ers are planning to do.
On August 31, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Ben Simmons no longer wants to be a Sixer and does not plan to report to training camp, but since then, everything has been very silent coming out of Philadelphia.
Does this mean that they are currently working on a deal for Ben Simmons? This could very well be the case, but at the same time, no team is probably willing to pay the price that they want for the 3x All-Star.
The 76ers should definitely not want to give him away for nothing since he is one of the better two-way players in the entire league, but after 3 months of trying to trade him and not getting the asking price you want, you would have to think the Sixers will try to adjust their thinking here.

Teams like the Warriors, Timberwolves, Kings, and Spurs have all had reported interest in Ben Simmons over the weeks, but one sleeper team to keep an eye on and a team that has silently been making some really good moves this offseason is the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Since LeBron James left in 2018, the Cavs have been putting young pieces together to build something special for the future and they may finally have something going for them with Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Isaac Okoro, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and now Lauri Markkanen, their latest offseason addition.
