The Los Angeles Lakers have been very busy this offseason making moves by adding former NBA All-Star talents to their roster and the latest name that will soon join their roster is DeAndre Jordan.

The former All-Star during the 2016-17 season has been with the Brooklyn Nets the last two seasons, but on September 3, the Nets traded him to the Detroit Pistons, along with four second-round picks and $5.78M in cash, for Jahlil Okafor and Sekou Doumbouya.

The Pistons will be finalizing a buyout agreement with DeAndre Jordan in the coming week and when this is done, Jordan intends to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

There will be a waiver period after the Pistons buy out the veteran center from his contract, but he will be signing a one-year, minimum contract with the Lakers.

Now, Los Angeles is going to not only add another former All-Star to their roster, but they will have DeAndre Jordan, Dwight Howard, and Anthony Davis as their three center options. So where does this leave Marc Gasol, who still has a year and $2.6M remaining on his contract?

During the summer, Gasol played with Team Spain in the Summer Olympics and while they failed to win a medal, the former 3x All-Star center stated back on August 3 that he was going to return for his 13th season in the league and finish off the remainder of his contract in Los Angeles.

Well, things have seemed to change for the Lakers and their roster, which is why Gasol may not have a spot on it anymore.

The pending signing of DeAndre Jordan basically bumps Marc Gasol out of the rotation, especially since the Lakers will not need four centers on their roster.

Gasol, now 36-years-old, will likely not begin the 2021-22 season with the Los Angeles Lakers, a source tells NBA Analysis Network, so where could the veteran big man end up?

After all, Marc Gasol is a former All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year, so there could be a handful of teams that show interest in him, especially since he will have a small price tag to pay. So what teams could be interested in taking Gasol off of the Lakers’ hands?

Let’s take a look at three trade packages featuring Marc Gasol for the Los Angeles Lakers to consider.
