The Chicago Bulls and Zach LaVine are officially a team to watch in the Eastern Conference after a big offseason that saw both Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan join the franchise. LaVine has become one of the most underrated stars in the NBA over the last couple of years, but now he has a legitimate star supporting cast. Even new Miami Heat point guard Kyle Lowry thinks LaVine is one of the league’s most under-appreciated superstars.
In a recent quote on CJ McCollum’s “Pull Up with CJ McCollum” podcast, Lowry spoke out about his thoughts on LaVine.
“I’m gonna say Zach Lavine,” Lowry said. “He’s one of them players in the NBA. He’s an All-Star. People don’t understand just how good he really, really is.”
McCollum also chimed in with his thoughts on LaVine.
“I like Zach a lot,” McCollum said. “Big year for him. They have a nice little situation over there in Chicago.”

Lowry hit the nail right on the head. Very few people really see how good LaVine has become with the Bulls. He is one of the most lethal scoring threats in the entire league and has a drive to be great.
During the 2020-21 NBA season with the Bulls, LaVine ended up averaging 27.4 points per game to go along with 5.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists. He shot 50.7 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 41.9 percent of his three-point attempts. Those numbers show just how good LaVine was last season.
Looking ahead to the upcoming 2021-22 season, the Bulls are going to need more of the same from LaVine. His numbers may go down a bit due to the presence of Ball and DeRozan, but he will still be the factor that determines how good Chicago ends up being.

Expect to see another productive and big season from Zach LaVine. People are still sleeping on him as a player, but that will start changing this season, especially with players like Kyle Lowry drawing attention to him.
