One Team Who Should Pursue A Trade For Coby White

Coby White injured his shoulder, which turned out to be a torn labrum, during the offseason. He will be re-evaluated in four months, which puts his availability for the beginning of the 2021-22 season in jeopardy.

That injury is partly what precipitated the Chicago Bulls adding so many backcourt options this offseason. But, with the number of players that they added, White may now become expendable.

Chicago’s depth chart, as it currently stands now has the backcourt as a strength. Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso and Ayo Dosunmu can handle the point guard duties Zach LaVine can also handle the ball, while DeMar DeRozan also thrived in a playmaking role last season with the San Antonio Spurs.

With so many options, the Bulls may be better off dangling White in trade talks and look to upgrade another area of the team that could use some help. The wing and power forward spots look like they could use some shoring up.
