The Chicago Bulls overhauled their roster this NBA offseason. They came into it knowing they needed to find a point guard, but they did a lot more than just fix that one spot in their backcourt.
They started things off in the 2021 NBA Draft, selecting Illinois point guard, Ayo Dosunmu. He was the first new backcourt player to join the team, as the first two moves that Chicago made in free agency netted them two more guards.
One of the first moves of free agency was the Bulls landing Lonzo Ball. They signed him to a four-year, $85 million deal. The New Orleans Pelicans didn’t match the offer sheet, instead, agreeing to a sign-and-trade deal.
Following that deal, his former teammate with the Los Angeles Lakers, Alex Caruso, also landed in Chicago. Caruso and the Bulls agreed to a four-year, $37 million deal, giving him a much-deserved raise.

The icing on the cake to the Bulls offseason was acquiring DeMar DeRozan. DeRozan came to the team via sign-and-trade as well from the San Antonio Spurs. He signed a three-year, $85 million deal and was acquired for Thaddeus Young, Al-Farouq Aminu, a future first-round pick and multiple future second-round picks.
With so many players added to the backcourt, where does that leave Coby White? White was the No. 7 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of North Carolina. He is one of two players, along with Zach LaVine, that are left from the last regime.
If the new front office led by Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley decide to move on from him, there will be plenty of interested teams. One team, in particular, stands out as a possible trade destination. Which team would that be? Let’s take a look.
