JJ Redick – Previous Team: Dallas Mavericks
Out of all the players still remaining, JJ Redick is definitely the biggest name still available in NBA free agency, but it should not be surprising to see him still available after his recent comments on his podcast.
Holding out until midseason to actually see which contenders still want him is not that bad of a decision for Redick, especially since this will give him the best chance to win a title late in his career. Not only is JJ Redick one of the best three-point shooters in NBA history, but he can still contribute to a team when needed.
For his career, JJ Redick has made a total of 1,950 three-pointers, ranking him 15th on the NBA’s All-Time Three-Pointers Made list and just 29 threes away from passing Joe Johnson for 14th on this list.
Over the span of his now 15-year playing career, JJ Redick has played for six different franchises, but for his career, he has shot 41.5% from three-point range, which is extremely impressive. When he retires, the veteran shooting guard will go down as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, but he isn’t ready to be immortalized and remembered just yet.

Seeing as he lives in the northeast and his family is there, teams like the 76ers, Nets, and Celtics all seem like viable options for JJ Redick, but the Lakers and other teams in the Western Conference could also pique his interest in terms of contending for a title.
Waiting until near the NBA trade deadline during the 2021-22 season could very well be when the veteran sharpshooter makes his decision on who he wants to play for and when he is ready, there should be a handful of teams that will create a roster spot in order to sign him.
JJ Redick is one of the more reliable shooters in NBA history, which is why any team who gets him will instantly become better from the perimeter. He remains the top among the NBA free agents remaining to watch.
