The Golden State Warriors missing the NBA playoffs the last two years has sparked a lot of trade rumors involving them potentially adding another high-level talent.

Guys like Bradley Beal, Ben Simmons, and Pascal Siakam have all been mentioned as potential All-Star players the Warriors could look to target, especially since they had two lottery picks in this year’s draft, but Golden State did not make a big move and instead, drafted two young, high-potential prospects in Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga.

Both young talents, along with James Wiseman, Jordan Poole, and Andrew Wiggins represent the young core of the Golden State Warriors, as well as the future, but this team is not done living in the present just yet. Prior to missing the playoffs during the 2019-20 season, the Warriors had made the NBA Finals for five consecutive years, winning three titles in this span.

Obviously having Klay Thompson healthy and Kevin Durant had a lot to do with these titles, but at full strength, the Warriors will have their foundation of Curry, Thompson, and Green back out on the court together, making them a team to keep an eye on in the Western Conference.

Given the MVP-like season Stephen Curry put together last year, the Warriors are definitely going to be title contenders once again, but this does not mean they will not look to add more talent to their roster.

Adding a fourth All-Star definitely sounds appealing, but will Golden State sacrifice their future assets to try and win another title now? The New Orleans Pelicans did a lot of building this offseason to try and put together a team that can contend for a playoff spot, but Brandon Ingram was a name mentioned in some offseason trade rumors.

Who knows if the Pelicans are even willing to discuss Ingram in trade packages anymore, but he is an interesting name that the Warriors could look to add at some point during the 2021-22 season. Would New Orleans be willing to give up one of their two young All-Stars for a ton of future assets?

Let’s take a look at a hypothetical trade package proposed by Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley that would involve Brandon Ingram going to the Golden State Warriors.
