Brad Stevens wasted no time in revamping the Boston Celtics’ roster when he moved into the front office this NBA offseason. The team’s head coach for the last eight seasons was tabbed as the person to take over for Danny Ainge, who stepped down from his role in the front office.

It took less than two weeks in his new position to make a big trade, as he sent Kemba Walker to the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a salary dump for Boston, as they attached a first-round pick with Walker and got back Al Horford and Moses Brown. Future second-round picks were swapped as well.

That was only the beginning for Stevens, who has had a very active first offseason on the job. Boston was part of a three-team trade with the Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks that saw Tristan Thompson head west with Kris Dunn and Bruno Fernando coming to Beantown.

Josh Richardson was also acquired from the Dallas Mavericks using the remainder of the Gordon Hayward traded-player exception that was created the last offseason. A new TPE has created this offseason as well with Evan Fournier and two future second-round picks going to the New York Knicks in a sign-and-trade.

Richardson, Marcus Smart and Robert Williams III all signed extensions, with Dennis Schroder and Enes Kanter signing as free agents.
