Ranking Top Landing Spots For Paul Millsap In Free Agency

Just 15 roster spots remain available in the NBA with the recent news of Rajon Rondo joining the Los Angeles Lakers and while a few other teams could free up a roster spot by waiving some non-guaranteed/partially-guaranteed contracts on their roster, there is still little room left for some free agents to sign. 

As training camp is about 4 weeks away, not many teams are looking to add more players to their roster, which is why some players could have to wind up going overseas for next season, but not Paul Millsap.

The 4x All-Star is 36-years-old and is going to be entering his 16th season in the league, but he is definitely still a player multiple championship teams are considering signing. 

After signing a one-year, $10M deal with the Denver Nuggets last year, Millsap actually saw his minutes with the Nuggets decline during the 2020-21 season and he only averaged 9.0 points, 5.7 rebounds while shooting 47.6% from the floor and 34.3% from three-point range.

He may not be the star power-forward he once was, but there is no reason why Paul Millsap cannot be an effective veteran off-the-bench for a real contender. 

He could wind up waiting until midseason to sign with a team, but all-in-all, Millsap still has a spot in this league and there are a handful of teams who are going to be willing to keep a roster spot open and available for him. Of those teams, the Clippers, Lakers, Nets, Warriors and Bulls are all interested in the veteran big man, but which teams have the best shot at signing him?
