We have entered the dog days of the NBA offseason. With August winding down, the focus is being turned to the 2021-22 season as training camps are right around the corner. That means teams are working feverishly to fill out rosters for training camp, where they can have up to 20 players attending.
Teams will have to cut down to 15 for the regular season but are likely to hold onto extra bodies throughout camp to avoid overuse and injuries in the early going. While most of the roster shuffling is complete, there are still some players that could be on the move between now and training camp.
The Ben Simmons saga continues to drag on, as he remains a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. Will that stay the same into the regular season? Or will they find a trade partner for him that appeases what they are looking for?
Another player that could be on the move is Thaddeus Young. Young is currently a member of the San Antonio Spurs but could be moved again for more assets.

Some veterans could have new homes in the coming weeks. Paul Millsap is one of the better free agents remaining on the market. Will he be scooped up before training camp, or take the same approach that J.J. Redick is, and sit out camp, joining a team later in the season.
He could be joined by another veteran on the free-agent market soon, as DeAndre Jordan’s future with the Brooklyn Nets looks bleak.
Which cities may these players be calling home for the 2021-22 season? Let’s try our hand at some predictions for where Ben Simmons, Thaddeus Young, Paul Millsap and DeAndre Jordan will end up.
