NBA free agency was not as eventful this offseason as it was in year’s past, but still, we saw plenty of notable players and All-Star talents on the move to new teams in order to try and contend for a championship.
Kyle Lowry went to Miami, DeMar DeRozan to Chicago and Lonzo Ball also joined DeRozan, but there were plenty of other key talents that wound up on new teams this summer.
Some guys like Kawhi Leonard, Chris Paul, Norman Powell and Jarrett Allen re-signed with their current teams in order to try and contend for a title.
Lots of moves were made this offseason in free agency and in terms of guaranteed contracts, we have seen over 130 new contracts given out this offseason, which is over 25% of the total players in the NBA!

At this point, with September right around the corner, not many teams have the capability to add more players to their roster, yet there are still plenty of valuable free agents remaining.
Lauri Markkanen was obviously the biggest name still available this past week, but on Friday, the Cavaliers were able to strike a deal with the Bulls and Trail Blazers to acquire Markkanen via a sign-and-trade that resulted in Derrick Jones Jr. going to Chicago and Larry Nance Jr. going to Portland, as well as some draft picks being thrown around.

Now, there are even less roster spots available for free agents to try and remain in the NBA, but let’s take a look at the top free agents still remaining after Lauri Markkanen was acquired by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
