The Chicago Bulls just missed out on the NBA Play-In Tournament last season, finishing two games behind the Charlotte Hornets for the last spot. But, they have much higher expectations for the 2021-22 season.

Chicago made their first big move at the NBA trade deadline, acquiring All-Star center Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic. The Bulls now have an All-Star duo with Vucevic and Zach LaVine to build around and that is exactly what they did this offseason.

Chicago added combo guard Ayo Dosunmu in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft and that was the start of their backcourt revamping. Lonzo Ball was acquired via sign-and-trade with the New Orleans Pelicans, agreeing to a four-year, $85 million deal in the process. Tomas Satoransky, Garrett Temple, a 2024 second-round pick and cash went to New Orleans.

Alex Caruso was then signed away from the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $37 million deal to give Chicago’s bench a boost.

The Bulls weren’t done yet, as they completed another sign-and-trade, this time with the San Antonio Spurs. DeMar DeRozan signed a three-year, $85 million deal and was traded to the Windy City in exchange for Thaddeus Young, Al-Farouq Aminu, a future first-round pick and two future second-round picks.

The Bulls look like they are ready to crash the Eastern Conference playoff picture with the moves they made this season. However, they could use a few pieces to shore up the end of the roster.

Here are three veterans that the Chicago Bulls should still consider signing in free agency.
