If Bradley Beal is traded, it would be one of the biggest blockbusters of the offseason and the third involving the Washington Wizards over the last year.
Beal has shared an urge to stay but there is great value that the Wizards could look to take advantage of. However, there is some speculation in regards to how much that has to do with the pathway he faces to land a supermax contract extension. Will he stay after receiving that? If there are questions surrounding that, moving him now could make sense.
The Wizards would immediately enter a rebuilding stage after moving Beal in a potential trade. There would be a need to add a player with high potential as he develops into being a finished product, which Michael Porter Jr. certainly would be for Washington.
Porter Jr. is a blossoming player that has looked like the real deal now that he has been healthy. He has displayed some real potential at times and could be an intriguing franchise-cornerstone to build around.
