The Golden State Warriors came into the NBA offseason as one team to watch when it came to making a big move. They were armed with some excellent assets should a big trade offer become possible.

That deal never materialized, as the Warriors held onto their two lottery selections and upgraded the roster in that fashion. Jonathan Kuminga of the G League Ignite and Moses Moody out of Arkansas was selected seventh and 12th respectively.

Four players were free agents on the team and three signed elsewhere. Kent Bazemore turned down more money from Golden State to play with the Los Angeles Lakers. Kelly Oubre Jr. signed with the Charlotte Hornets. Nico Mannion went overseas and will be playing in Italy.

Jordan Bell played with the Atlanta Hawks Summer League team but is an unrestricted free agent. Eric Paschall was traded to the Utah Jazz, leaving another hole in the frontcourt as well.

The team was able to land some veterans in free agency to help replace the depth they lost. Andre Iguodala is running it back one more time. Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica were also signed to deals. Chris Chiozza, formerly of the Brooklyn Nets, signed a two-way deal as well.

The team is banking on the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to help carry them to another championship, but they could still use some reinforcements. What if that came in the way of Jerami Grant?

The Detroit Pistons would make for a nice trade partner for the Warriors. What could a deal involving Grant look like? Let’s take a look at this hypothetical NBA trade scenario.
