Veteran guard Patty Mills was a key target of the Golden State Warriors in the offseason, but after being unable to sign him, they are set to enter the year with Jordan Poole as their backup point guard behind multi-time MVP Stephen Curry.

While Poole is a young talent that is getting better, it seems like the Warriors are interested in still adding another experienced guard to their backcourt, so could Rondo make sense for Golden State?

He does not really fit the mold of being a guard that can stretch the court and run off of screens to score, but as mentioned earlier, he is an excellent ball-handler and facilitator that could wind up taking pressure off of guys like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to create for themselves.

Rondo is very crafty with the ball in his hands and would be a great leader for the Golden State Warriors to find guys like Curry, Thompson and even Poole off of screens for open three-point shots.

He is more experienced and would fit in well with this championship-level team in San Francisco.
