Marvin Bagley III – Sacramento Kings – 2021-22 Salary: $11.3M

It is no secret that Marvin Bagley III is unhappy in Sacramento and with him being in the final year of his contract, it seems likely that he will be a “hot name” on the trade market all season long.

The Kings have been trying to correct some of their wrongs over the last few years and have a solid foundation in place right now to try and improve, but Bagley does not seem to want to be a part of this any longer.

Getting a fresh start may be the best thing for the No. 2 overall pick and since they would not be tied down to him long-term financially, the Mavericks could be willing to invest their TPE in a guy like Marvin Bagley III. He is definitely an impact player in terms of rebounding and scoring in the paint, but the best part about adding Bagley to this Dallas roster is the fact that Luka is their primary ball-handler.

Given how great of a passer and facilitator Doncic is, specifically in pick-and-roll sets, Bagley could be on the receiving end of a ton of lobs towards the basket, but he could also be a three-point shooting threat since he has displayed the ability to step out in P&R sets to knock down a jumper.

Through three seasons in the league, Marvin Bagley III has averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and has shot 50.0% from the floor, making him an impact player that the Mavericks could look to add at power-forward since Maxi Kleber is their only true power-forward option right now.
