The New York Knicks have finally decided to make some moves in the NBA offseason. This is something they have failed to do in year’s past and that is why they were one of the worst teams in the league since Carmelo Anthony left. Now, the team seems to be trending in the right direction and there could be more moves on the horizon.

After a 41-win season that landed them the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, there was no reason for the Knicks to sit on their hands. They signed Evan Fournier to a free-agent contract and added Kemba Walker once he was bought out by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

These moves checked off some much-needed boxes. The Knicks needed help at the point-guard position and from the three-point line. The culture has been changed with Tom Thibodeau as head coach and now the front office must put the appropriate team on the floor that can win some games when it matters most.

The Golden State Warriors have won plenty of those games. They are a championship franchise that has dominated the sport over the last half decade. With Klay Thompson returning, that is expected to continue. The shooting guard has missed the previous two seasons with injuries but is expected to return for the regular season.

This means Stephen Curry will not be on his own out on the perimeter. He led the league in scoring and nearly got the Warriors back to the postseason with a mediocre roster. They are known for making some big moves and might not be finished this offseason.

To be perfectly clear, this is not an NBA trade scenario with today or before the 2021-22 NBA season in mind. Instead, this would be a thought for the trade deadline instead.

The Warriors have been relatively quiet and could be searching for that right move. Here is a potential deal that could intrigue both the Knicks and Warriors this offseason.
