Over the years, the Boston Celtics have had some really talented teams, but they have not seemed to be able to get over the hump and make it back to the NBA Finals. The last time they were in The Finals, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen were all on the Celtics’ roster and they wound up losing to a guy named Kobe Bryant that year too.

Now, with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart as their three core guys, the Boston Celtics have a championship identity again, but do they have enough firepower to get past the likes of the Nets, 76ers and Bucks in the Eastern Conference?

Boston and long-time executive Danny Ainge decided to part ways this offseason, which led to the Celtics making a move to “promote” head coach Brad Stevens to President of Basketball Operations.

Moving Kemba Walker and Tristan Thompson were two big moves Stevens has made, as well as not bringing back Evan Fournier, but the Boston Celtics were able to bring in Dennis Schroder, Josh Richardson, Enes Kanter and Al Horford this offseason to try and improve their overall talent.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are once again going to be All-Star-level talents for the Boston Celtics, as they will always have the ball in their hands, but it will be interesting to see if they can compete with the likes of the favorites in the Eastern Conference.

This could very well be a “make-or-break” season for Boston, so the first several games of the season could be very telling for how this team will pan out. With this said, let’s take a look at three early bold predictions for the Celtics entering the 2021-22 season.
