3 Late-Offseason Trade Targets For LA Clippers To Consider

Los Angeles Clippers
NBA Analysis Network

The Los Angeles Clippers were relatively active this offseason. They made multiple moves during the 2021 NBA Draft, coming away with some high-upside selections in Keon Johnson, Jason Preston and Brandon Boston Jr.

Johnson was the most athletic player in this year’s draft class, setting some records at the NBA Combine. His offensive game is raw, but he can already provide the Clippers with minutes as a rookie given his defensive abilities. He could prove to be one of the bigger steals of the first round.

In the second round, Preston provides the team with a steady point guard prospect. His journey to the NBA is a wild one. Boston was a five-star recruit and one of the best prospects in his class when he chose to play at Kentucky. He struggled with his efficiency but there is a lot of talent to work with there.

In free agency, the Clippers weren’t big players. They re-signed Kawhi Leonard, Reggie Jackson and Nicolas Batum. The only player they signed from another team was Justise Winslow, who has been plagued by injuries but is a great reclamation target.

Los Angeles also pulled off a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies. They sent Patrick Beverley, Rajon Rondo and Daniel Oturu to Memphis in exchange for Eric Bledsoe in a deal that was salary cap driven.

While the offseason is winding down, transactions could still be made. Here are three late-offseason trade targets the Clippers could still look to acquire.
