Coming into the 2021 NBA offseason, there was an expectation that we could see a lot of trades completed. With only a handful of teams with cap space available, trades were the one avenue teams could take to upgrade their rosters.

We saw a multitude of trades during the 2021 NBA Draft as organizations moved up and down the draft board, pinpointing prospects that they wanted to acquire.

There were some veteran players moved as well, with Russell Westbrook being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers being the headline grabber.

Thus far this offseason, that has been the biggest trade completed. Many people believed a trade of Bradley Beal would follow should Westbrook be dealt, but the Wizards look like they are going to build around Beal instead of trading him and starting a new rebuild.

With August now halfway over many people would assume the biggest moves of the offseason are done, but trades could still happen. There are a few players whose names are still circling in NBA trade rumors.

Ben Simmons seems destined to be traded from the Philadelphia 76ers as his relationship with the organization is non-existent. He is not the only All-Star that could be on the move, as Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors has also had his name pop up. His new teammate, Goran Dragic, could also be on the move after he made some disparaging remarks about the Raptors.

Damian Lillard is always a name to keep an eye on. Despite saying he has not and won’t request a trade, many believe that will come sooner than later.
