DeMarcus Cousins
It was not too long ago that DeMarcus Cousins was among the best centers in the NBA. Three years ago, he was paired with Anthony Davis as the most dominant frontcourt duo in the league before injuries derailed his career.
DeMarcus Cousins has suffered three major injuries to his left leg, rupturing his Achilles, tearing his quad and tearing his ACL in just about a year and half. He has remained resilient though, as he returned this season with the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers.
Cousins had a lot of rust to knock off as the last time he appeared in an NBA game before this season was the 2019 NBA Finals, but he showed that he still has something left in the tank. He was extremely efficient shooting the ball with the Clippers, filling a key role off the bench for them.
Given how well he produces even without logging major minutes, contending teams should be lining up for DeMarcus Cousins. His per-36 minute stats were relatively similar this past season to what he was doing in years past.

The Brooklyn Nets would be the perfect landing spot for him. Their lack of size in the postseason was difficult to overcome. If they are going to leave DeAndre Jordan glued to the bench, they need an experienced big man in the rotation alongside Nicolas Claxton and rookie Day’Ron Sharpe.
