Josh Hart
The New Orleans Pelicans have revamped their backcourt this offseason. They traded Eric Bledsoe as part of the package to the Memphis Grizzlies to clear some cap space.
Surprisingly, they let Lonzo Ball leave to the Chicago Bulls without matching the offer sheet. Could Josh Hart be following him out of town?
Josh Hart could help a lot of teams out with his play on defense. He can defend four different positions, as he is athletic enough to defend players in the backcourt and wing but also strong enough to handle some frontcourt players as well. His rebounding is also elite for a wing, as he averaged a career-high 8.0 rebounds this past season.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings have both been linked to Hart this offseason, but they would have to complete a sign-and-trade deal for him as they do not have cap space left to spend.

While both of those teams could use Josh Hart’s skill set, the Pelicans are the best fit for him in free agency. They really cannot afford to lose him, as they needed more defensive help this offseason but failed to address that. Without him, their already porous defense would hit new lows.
