2. Miami Heat
Did you really think that Pat Riley was going to be left off this list? The Heat are another team in win-now mode that suffered an early exit this past season. They were swept out of the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks and made an impact on day one of free agency.
It began with the sign-and-trade deal with the Toronto Raptors for Kyle Lowry. He signed a three-year deal worth $90 million with Miami and will solidify the point-guard position.
This is something that Miami had at the top of its list and Lowry fills a huge need. Duncan Robinson agreed to a five-year extension worth $90 million and the Heat added PJ Tucker as well.
Jimmy Butler could be next on the extension list. Butler and Bam Adebayo are a legitimate duo and now the Heat have plenty of weapons around their other stars.

Miami will be ready to get back to the top of the Eastern Conference next season. This is a position they have grown accustomed to and it is clear that Riley was going to do whatever it took to return.
