3. Los Angeles Lakers
It is not surprising to see the Los Angeles Lakers be aggressive in the offseason. They were eliminated in the first round of the postseason after injuries derailed their season a bit. This was the first time that LeBron James was unable to advance at least one round in the postseason in his career. The Lakers should have no problem being contenders once again next season if they are healthy.
It began with the acquisition of Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards. Los Angeles was linked to some big-name point guards, such as Westbrook and Chris Paul, for the weeks leading up to the draft. They were able to get a deal done for Westbrook prior to free agency.
In free agency, they acquired the likes of Kent Bazemore and Wayne Ellington. Dwight Howard will return to the Lakers as well and Talen Horton-Tucker agreed to a three-year extension.
And of course, Carmleo Anthony chose Los Angeles over the Knicks and will finally team up with James. These might not seem like the biggest moves but Westbrook was the splash and now the Lakers are working on depth and balance.

Los Angeles will look to get back to the top of the league and remain healthy in hopes of winning another title. So far, the offseason has been a success and it will be interesting to see if they make another move.
