The Toronto Raptors had a changing of the guard this NBA offseason on their roster. Long-time starting point guard Kyle Lowry moved on in free agency, agreeing to a three-year, $90 million deal with the Miami Heat.

A sign-and-trade was worked out, as the Raptors most decorated player in franchise history is heading to South Beach. With Lowry’s departure, questions arose whether or not Toronto would move into a full-on rebuild this offseason.

Toronto has some great building blocks in place. OG Anunoby is a keeper and they used the No. 4 overall pick on Scotty Barnes out of Florida State to give them another foundational piece. 22-year old Gary Trent Jr. was re-signed, giving the Raptors what could be their new core going forward.

So, what does that mean for players such as Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet? Rival teams reportedly believe that Siakam could be available in trades. The Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers are three teams said to be enamored with Siakam.

The same would likely be said about VanVleet were he to be made available. While there is no indication that the Raptors are looking to trade him right now, he would return a good package should the organization want to take part in a full teardown.

Which teams could go after VanVleet? Here are three that should consider making a trade for the former Wichita State product.
