Prediction: Remains with the Toronto Raptors

It was expected for Lowry to leave the Toronto Raptors in NBA free agency and he’s done just that by taking his talents to South Beach via a sign-and-trade. Due to Lowry’s anticipated exodus, many have pinned Pascal Siakam as a potential trade candidate for Toronto.

Siakam is a coveted forward in the NBA and there have been a few teams to inquire about his availability. Up to this point, the Raptors haven’t shown any interest in moving him despite the reports of the Warriors possibly being intrigued by the idea of trading for him.

During the 2021 NBA Draft, the Raptors shocked fans when they took Scottie Barnes over Jalen Suggs with the No. 4 overall pick. Everyone was projecting Suggs to the Raptors to replace the departure of Lowry.

However, the Raptors bolstered their frontcourt by getting Barnes, giving them Barnes, OG Anunoby, and Siakam to work with at the forward spots.

Even though Pascal Siakam could be a name to watch for come time at the trade deadline next season, I believe he remains put with the Raptors this offseason.
