Ben Simmons
Prediction: Traded to the Golden State Warriors
With NBA free agency happening right now, reports have surfaced that Ben Simmons hasn’t remained in contact with the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason.
Ever since Philadelphia has considered moving on from the former No. 1 overall pick, Simmons is seemingly showing them that if they’re going to trade him, they need to deal with his agent.
Despite NBA trade rumors of a possible move to the Portland Trail Blazers or the Toronto Raptors, Simmons would reportedly prefer not to play for either of those teams. However, he would reportedly be open to the idea of suiting up for the Golden State Warriors.
Ahead of the draft, the 76ers offered Simmons for Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, both of Golden State’s first-round picks in this year’s draft, and future first-round picks. The Warriors understandably denied the offer and proceeded to use both of their lottery selections.

Golden State has long been considered a team that would like to add Simmons, but not for the asking price that Philadelphia desires. I believe the 76ers are going to have to come down on their asking price, which could finally send Simmons to the Warriors.
Being able to play alongside sharpshooters in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson would maximize Simmons’ playmaking ability and he’d improve Golden State’s defense immediately. Also, a small-ball lineup with Draymond Green and Simmons in the frontcourt is something that could entice the Warriors.
