3 teams who could still pursue trade for Kristaps Porzingis

Kristaps Porzingis, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Dallas Mavericks were on top of the world when they acquired Kristaps Porzingis from the New York Knicks two years ago. People around the NBA believed that Dallas had swindled New York out of their All-Star big man and that the Mavericks would have the next best duo in the league with Porzingis and Luka Doncic.

Well, the people who thought that certainly jumped the gun. New York is arguably in a better position than Dallas and Porzingis is a big reason why.

Porzingis has failed to live up to expectations as Doncic’s sidekick thus far. His injuries have continued to be a problem, as he has played in only 100 regular-season games the last two seasons combined. He made it through only three playoff games in the Orlando Bubble as well as injuries sidelined him.

There have been some rumors about the Mavericks looking to already move on from Porzingis. He was reportedly offered to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Kelly Oubre at the trade deadline, but Mark Cuban has denied those reports.

The rumors haven’t stopped, but the interest in Porzingis is minimal according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer. Minimal is more than zero, so there is at least one team interested in the Latvian big man.

Which team could that be? Here are three teams that should still pursue a trade for Porzingis this offseason.
