3 free agents the Milwaukee Bucks could target on ring-chasing deals

Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks won the 2021 NBA Championship, defeating the Phoenix Suns in six games. It was an impressive comeback for the Bucks, who started the series down 2-0 before rattling off four consecutive wins and taking home the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Milwaukee didn’t have much time to celebrate, as the NBA offseason got started almost immediately following their victory. Things kicked off with the 2021 NBA Draft, which the Bucks made a move during.

They entered the night with the 31st pick in the draft from the P.J. Tucker trade at the deadline with the Houston Rockets. They ended up trading the pick, picking up the No. 54 and 60 selections in this draft and two more future second-round picks. With the 54th pick, they selected Sandro Mamukelashvilli out of Seton Hall. With the final pick in the draft, they selected Georgios Kalaitzakis, a draft-and-stash prospect from Greece.

In free agency, the Bucks didn’t have much money to spend. The core of their roster is pretty much intact and they were able to re-sign Bobby Portis in free agency. However, they did lose some parts of their championship roster.

Tucker signed a two-year, $15 million deal with the Miami Heat to bolster their frontcourt. Bryn Forbes, who opted out and declined his player option, returned to the San Antonio Spurs.

Milwaukee was able to land two players, Rodney Hood and Semi Ojeleye, to help take their spots. But, Milwaukee should not be done. There are still a few holes on the roster they should look to shore up before the season begins.

Here are three free agents that the Bucks should target on ring-chasing deals.
