Boston Celtics
At this point, the Boston Celtics’ roster is pretty much finalized and they do not have any “wiggle room” financially, but they do have ways to free up cap space. Not only could they waive Jabari Parker ($2.28M), but they could potentially look to trade Kris Dunn ($5M), Romeo Langford ($3.8M) and/or Grant Williams ($2.62M) to free up more space.
Marcus Smart and Payton Pritchard are this club’s only options at the point guard spot and they could definitely look to utilize Dennis Schroder if he’s willing to take a significantly less contract for one year. Next to Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart and Al Horford, Dennis Schroder could actually fit in quite well as a “change-of-pace” guard who is more than capable of leading the Celtics’ offense.
Free agency has been going on for days now and the interest level in Schroder league-wide has only declined, which is why he should be hunting for a one-year deal at this point. The Celtics would be a solid option.
Proving that he can be a high-level talent in this league and then going after a big contract once again next offseason needs to be the goal, which is why he could be willing to take a very small contract to play with the Celtics.

Dennis Schroder would be on a contending team, he would hold a pretty substantial role with said team and he would have the ability to become a free agent next summer. If the Celtics are looking to bring in an experienced backcourt player, then Schroder should be on their radar.
