Marvin Bagley III
The Sacramento Kings were surprisingly able to retain Richaun Holmes in free agency, inking him to a four-year, $55 million contract.
Given the state of the franchise, re-signing Holmes is just about as big of a move you could expect from the Kings. After drafting Davion Mitchell in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft, Sacramento now has a backcourt trio of De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, and Mitchell to build around.
As for the frontcourt, Marvin Bagley should be doing whatever he possibly can to free himself from the Kings. Bagley has been under the microscope ever since Sacramento elected to take him over Luka Doncic and Trae Young in the 2018 NBA Draft.
Injuries have played a large part in Marvin Bagley’s struggles, but it’s not like he’s been dismal when he’s on the floor.

In his first three seasons, Marvin Bagley has posted 14.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. While Bagley continues to develop his shot from beyond the arc, he could use a change of scenery in hopes it allows him to reach his full potential.
