Ben Simmons
When the Philadelphia 76ers were upset by the Atlanta Hawks in the Conference Semi-Finals, all eyes turned toward Ben Simmons. Simmons didn’t perform well versus the Hawks as his inability to score the basketball and make free throws were well-documented.
Fans in Philadelphia have been eager to see the former No. 1 overall pick develop a jump shot, only for Simmons to refuse to do what we see him doing in offseason workouts.
Unless Simmons is prepared to take the next step as an offensive player, it’s best for Simmons and the 76ers to go their separate ways.
What has seemingly prevented a trade from happening is the steep asking price that Philadelphia is seeking for the 25-year-old point forward.
