New York Knicks
The New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony split in 2017 after spending 6.5 years together, but could a reunion between the two sides be coming this offseason? ESPN’s Jordan Schultz reported Sunday that the Knicks have interest in bringing back Melo this offseason, especially due to his relationship with Leon Rose.
Carmelo Anthony has a relationship with Knicks team president Leon Rose dating back to their time spent together with Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
Anthony wants to win and with the Knicks being a rising team in the Eastern Conference, he could actually have a lot of interest in returning to New York to be a part of their resurgence.
Chasing a title definitely has to be high on his list of things to do near the end of his career, but Carmelo Anthony’s legacy is already set in stone, regardless if he wins a championship or not. Being a part of making the Knicks a true playoff threat again could be something he sees himself doing, which is why the Knicks are definitely one of the top landing spots for him this offseason.
