Brooklyn Nets
Out of all of the career accomplishments for Carmelo Anthony, the one thing he has never achieved is reaching the NBA Finals to contend for a championship. In Brooklyn with the Nets, he would absolutely have this opportunity, even though his time with James Harden in Houston did not work out prior.
With Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving fully-healthy and on the court together, there is no team in the league with the firepower that the Brooklyn Nets have, which is why they are going to be the favorites to make it to the NBA Finals next season out of the Eastern Conference.
They do have some decisions to make in terms of Spencer Dinwiddie, Blake Griffin, Jeff Green and Bruce Brown all being free agents, but Carmelo Anthony would be a very solid addition for the Nets on their bench given his ability to score.
Outside of their “Big 3,” Brooklyn has Joe Harris, newly acquired guard Jevon Carter and first-round picks Cameron Thomas and Day’Ron Sharpe, but they still need more experienced, veteran scorers like Anthony. Cam Thomas is going to be a guy that really contributes for them at the shooting guard position, but they will need some forward depth, especially with Jeff Green and Blake Griffin possibly going elsewhere in free agency.

Sliding into a “sixth-man” like role in Brooklyn would be a huge acquisition for the Nets this offseason and definitely give them another key scorer to rely on outside of their three superstars. If Melo wants to win now, then the Nets should definitely be one of the top teams on his list this offseason.
