5. New York Knicks
The New York Knicks were one of the more active teams during the 2021 NBA Draft. They entered with four selections and left with four prospects, at least two future picks and more salary-cap space.
Leon Rose and company have something big planned for free agency. They have the most cap space in the NBA and plan to use it to upgrade a roster that went a surprising 41-31 last season. Tom Thibodeau got the team to buy in and with some offensive upgrades, they can be even more dangerous next season.
The Knicks need an upgrade at the point guard position and one popular name is Collin Sexton from the Cleveland Cavaliers. They traded for Ricky Rubio last week, making Sexton even more expendable now.
The Knicks have also reportedly discussed trades involving center Mitchell Robinson with multiple teams in the league.

With ample cap space and some draft capital, the Knicks could look to execute a trade if they are unable to land their desired players in free agency.
