One of the biggest losses the Miami Heat suffered the last offseason was Jae Crowder. Crowder was a versatile forward for the team during their run to the NBA Finals, but he signed with the Phoenix Suns in free agency. He helped them reach the finals, but left Miami with a hole on their roster they were unable to fill.
There was hope that Avery Bradley, Maurice Harkless and Andre Iguodala could fill Crowder’s role, but it never happened.
This offseason, Miami needs to find another versatile forward for that role and Jeff Green would make a great target.
Green has had quite the NBA journey, missing the 2011-12 season with a heart ailment but that has not derailed him from having a productive career. He will be 35 in August and still has plenty left in the tank to offer a team.
