Both Ayo Dosunmu and Jared Butler fell out of the first round

There are a handful of point-guard needy teams in the NBA, which is why it will be interesting to see where some of the notable free-agent guards land this summer.

There were some talented point guards available in the draft as well, giving some teams a chance to get a potential future starter.

For the most part, both Ayo Dosunmu and Jared Butler had mock drafts where they were being taken in the latter part of the first round.

Despite many predicting either Dosunmu or Butler — or both — to go in the first round, both of them fell to the second round. Dosunmu was drafted by the Chicago Bulls, placing him behind Coby White on the depth chart.

As for Butler, he was selected by the Pelicans, only to be traded to the Utah Jazz. There’s no doubt that Dosunmu and Butler will want to prove to the teams that passed on them that they made a grave mistake by not selecting them.
